John McPee (D2001)

part of the Fleetwood mutt litter (John McPee, Mick Fetchwood, Lindsey Barkingham, Stevie Licks, and Christie McPee). They were left at a rural VA shelter. Born on December 24, 2025, these Lab/Shepherd mixes currently weigh between 8-12 lbs but will grow into large dogs.

He is being fostered in a home with other dogs and cats, and he regularly plays with children. Here is what his foster has to say about him:

John McPee: John is mostly laid back. He likes to play with his litter mates and he likes to chase, but then the lazy part takes over and he will just hang back and watch. He prefers to be by his human's side over hanging with his litter mates. Very sweet and relaxed personality.

As with all puppies, John McPee will need time to adjust to a new home and its expectations. His future families should understand that pet ownership is a lifelong commitment—one that requires daily exercise, continued training, and socialization. Remember: a good puppy is a tired puppy!
